Metal Bottle Caps
- DO separate bottle caps from their bottles
- DON’T place bottle caps in curbside recycling
- DO drop off bottle caps at a scrap metal recycling location
About These Items
These are the small metal caps that come on glass beer and soda bottles. Due to their small size, bottle caps can easily fall through recycling processing equipment. The City of Pittsurgh does not accept these caps with curbside recycling. Instead they should be dropped off at a scap metal collection point.
Donate to the Center for Creative Reuse.
Bottle caps are accepted as donations at the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse, which is a non-profit, non-traditional art supply shop located at the intersection of Wilkinsburg, Homewood, and Point Breeze, where people can donate and shop for used art and craft supplies.
